The Greatest Explorer Around!

Forrest Galante is known for his experience with nature conservation, wilderness survival and animal expertise. During his youth living in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest developed a love and deep connection with nature that seemed to map out his future. Galante's deep involvement with nature strengthened when he moved back to California after political unrest in Zimbabwe forced the family from their safari operations.

Throughout his journeys, Forrest Galante has caught anacondas, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. He pursued a career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, always focusing on animals on the edge of extinction. His approach with wildlife, love for the outdoors and one-of-a-kind background has led to the development of his own Animal Planet television show, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Forrest as he travels the globe searching for wildlife he believes have incorrectly been deemed extinct.
